Weekend Wrap

Hope everyone had a lovely little weekend. Mine was too good to be so short.

Some highlights…

Friday night I popped into Luna’s Living Kitchen on my way to Crossfit (which is becoming a thing over here). I had too much time to just go straight to the gym and stand around like a weirdo but not enough time to get home so I just went here instead and got the best tea I’ve ever had.

Saturday and Sunday were both dominated by Nick’s Crossfit competition. (Pro tip: I would not mess with those people.) I kept myself occupied by moonlighting as a photographer (with my sister’s camera).

The competition left night plans out of the question so there was much napping and sweatpants and cats. Saturday night I saw my favorite “My Cat from Hell” episode yet, and it involved a neurotic Himalayan with OCD.

Today my mom flew into town to make her rounds visiting all the family here. My sister and I hijacked her for a shopping spree before she left to see my grandparents. (Important: Everything at Banana Republic at Charlotte Premium Outlets is 50% off. EVERYTHING. And Kate Spade is 40% plus an extra 25% off. I went NUTS.) And we stopped to see this Nugget too…

If you’re playing along with No Sugar November, I hope you’re launching into your second week strong. I confess I ate a fortune cookie Friday night because I forgot. Honesty? Anyway…

To clarify…

We are NOT eating:

  • sugar
  • brown sugar
  • powdered sugar
  • coconut sugar
  • beet sugar
  • date sugar
  • honey
  • maple syrup
  • brown rice syrup
  • molasses
  • agave nectar
  • zero calorie sweeteners (including: Splenda, stevia, aspartame, etc.)
  • and any other sugar that is not in a whole fruit or vegetable (or 100% fruit juice, sparingly)

We ARE eating:

  • Whole fruits and vegetables
  • Anything else you used to eat that does not contain anything from the NO list
