Happiest of Caturdays to you all. As you may have noticed here on the interweb, yesterday was World Cat Day. We didn’t do anything special because as far as we’re concerned around here every day is World Cat Day.
As noted earlier this week, I made a monumental shift in our living arrangement and moved the cats’ litterbox out of my bathroom and into a small, isolated, carefully managed corner of the apartment. I added this industrial strength Ikea door mat to slow the spread of litter flinging, and it is the most managed this situation has ever been. My life has improved immensely. Owners of cats, keep the litter out of your bathroom. Trust me.
I worked from home one day this week to try and manage a raging flare up of my man of war sting. (I swear to you I will never get back in the ocean again.) I haven’t been home during the day for a long time and for some reason was curious to see what the cats are up to. They still just sit on the couch and watch Bravo all day.
Also of note this week: my boyfriend made sweeping allegations that he thinks the herd has “cat bugs,” which I can only assume means fleas. I spent an inordinate amount of time checking all three and can confidently deny the rumors. They are seeking reparations for damaged reputations.
