Most people’s idea of a vacation is my idea of a nightmare. Where normal humans like to “kick back” and “relax” I like to fill every second of my day with assorted activities and explorations. The stuff I like to do almost always involves some level of physical exertion including but not limited to miles and miles of walking, bike rentals and scaling large natural or manmade structures. In short, it is best for me to just travel alone.
Since no one in my family subscribes to my definition of vacation, I follow a “can’t beat ’em, join ’em” attitude on the road these days. So here’s a look at our fully un-action-packed weekend on Isle of Palms.
