Happy Caturday from my parents’ house. Every time I visit I try to weasel them into adopting a cat. It’s definitely not working, but if you think I’ll give up after two failed years, you don’t know the story of how I spent the first 16 years of my life writing 5-paragraph essays and delivering persuasive Powerpoint presentations to my dad in hopes of convincing him I would be a responsible cat owner.
I eventually won the battle with a stray cat named Gracie. I am very persistent.
Anyway, within an hour of being home I dragged my mom to a nearby shelter that recently constructed an elaborate indoor/outdoor “catio”. It gave me lots of ideas of what to do with my balcony.
I’m rounding out week two of my three straight weeks of travel this month and I’m pretty exhausted so we spent the evening chromecasting videos of the cats onto my parents’ massive TV. Big Saturday night, clearly.
