This week has been pretty wild with most of my days running from 6a to 11p fairly nonstop. I like this pace. Objects in motion stay in motion, you know. That is until they crash hard to the ground because of that other little law we call gravity. Oh well. For now, I move.
I decided I’m never going to move out of my apartment. I know I’ll outgrow 580 square feet in, like, a week or so (just as soon as I find another cat) but… I’m just going to stay here until I have enough money to buy the whole floor and then I’m going to knock out all the walls and build the condo of my dreams complete with intricate networks of suspended catwalks and tunnels. And it’s all so I can keep this view:
When I’m not busy mind-architecting a nonexistent apartment, I like to stay up until 3am zeroing out every single one of my inboxes. It last like an hour. I can’t handle clutter. Not even in my inbox.
For the last few months I’ve been representing my startup organization PlateShare in a nonprofit competition called Seed20. We started with 20 organizations narrowed down to 10 finalists and on Tuesday night I won the $20,000 grand prize at a live pitch in front of an audience of 500. It was insane and I’m very excited to keep moving the project forward.
I’ve been cramming in family time wherever I can because as it turns out babies get big really fast. Here’s Charlotte just doing her thing in her dad’s baseball cap… in a bar. Standard.
Tonight I hopped into an impromptu happy hour that turned into an Ethiopian dinner with my coworkers. I loathe all things excessively planned (you know, you’ve seen me just hop on planes with no warning) so any kind of enjoyable experience that kind of just falls in my lap is always welcome.
What’s everyone been up to? What’s going on in your world?
