Some Things

#1 I am waking up early tomorrow and that is that.

I thought it would happen today but then I didn’t leave the house until 5pm, and that is the truth. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but tomorrow is my day, I tell you. I’m pretty sure I have self diagnosed (using WebMD and some books I found at a resale shop, SCIENCE) so everything should be fine soon.

Anyway, I’m so ready for tomorrow even my alarm is ready…

#2 People who don’t like pizza cannot be trusted.

I’ve just been thinking about this. Have you ever considered this truth? Think about all the people in your life who have said they don’t like pizza. Either 1) they are lying, or 2) they cannot be trusted. And that is the exact same thing.

#3 I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling twenty… eight.

Standard conversation with my old roommate. Related: The cat emoticon options are severely lacking on the iPhone. No black cat? No two-legged cat? COME ON.

#4 The greatest snack you will ever have is a dried fig topped with peanut butter topped with extremely dark chocolate… times six.

You have to eat six of them.

#5 I made you this free yoga class, MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I decided to stop teaching yoga for a while (at least until I can figure out why I can’t leave my house until 5pm), but I must miss it so this video happened. It’s a 45-minute standard power vinyasa flow. I hope you like it. Oh, I made a playlist for it too that you can find here: 45-minute yoga playlist.

  1. I have an alarm on my iPhone labeled “Drunk,” for when I’m afraid I’ll oversleep due to too much wine.

Also, thanks for the video! I’ve started embracing a home practice, so I will add it to my arsenal.

  2. My whole life is made because of that YouTube. And just because I’m fancy and embarking on business travels this week, I packed my yoga mat and will do it every time I have 45 minutes.

Some of my very favorite words…
Un higo seco, mantequilla de cacahuete y chocolate para hacer una botana pequeño. Me gusta mucho!

I think it’s tough when the things you love become the things you do for money. I hope stepping back from teaching yoga brings you some clarity!

    • Cheers to that, thanks!

Where is your black and white rug from?

I’ve been loving your posts lately. This is a weird question, but uh, where do you buy stuff to decorate your apartment? The pictures and little knick knacks that show up in your pictures make me jealous. I just started working mostly from home, and my space, while physically fine, is less than pleasing to the eye. I’m a lawyer, and therefore completely uncreative unless it has to do with parsing words.

    • Ha, thanks! Almost everything I own (clothing, decor, kitchen gadgets) comes from Marshall’s and TJMaxx. That is not an exaggeration. I am CHEAP. My couch, rug, kitchen table, chairs and giant mirror are all from Ikea. My framed art is from Etsy. Let’s see… Oh my white Buddha statue and white candle sticks are TJMaxx. My cats came off the streets… 😉

This makes me happy, as I am also CHEAP. To TJMaxx I go. My cats came off the streets too:-)

  7. I just took your Christmas yoga class! And it was awesome. I’m not really sure why I feel so compelled to tell you this, but it was truly exactly what I needed today.

I’ve tried yoga a few times in the past, but never really loved it. But going through your class was challenging, invigorating, and relaxing all at the same time. It’s got me thinking that maybe I was just doing the wrong kind of yoga for me before and that I should look into power yoga in my area. Thanks again, and have a wonderful Holiday!

    • You just made my day. I’m so glad it worked for you and that it may have sparked more yoga in your future. Keep me posted! I’ll get some more up soon…

  8. This video was exactly what I needed today. The music was perfect too. Thanks!!

    • So glad! Thanks for letting me know!
